Job Description
We are looking for a Director, Analytics & Segmentation to support our Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, with a focus on utilizing relevant datasets to create audience segmentation and the strategies through which we use them for marketing and sales purposes to distribute our brand and business messaging. This individual will play a critical role in developing data-led insights which advance our marketing strategies.

Responsibilities
> Develop and execute data-driven audience segmentation strategies utilizing 1st party business data in an effort to optimize client targeting in various Marketing and Sales channels (paid media, CRM, sales tactics, etc.)
> Analyze segmentation trends tied to business trends and fund distribution - assess which segments are likely to engage with or convert on appropriate products, funds or messages
> Manage 1st party data use case approvals (in partnership with Risk) to ensure proper management and utilization of PII for segmentation purposes
> Inform wider Marketing strategies based on audience data - deliver insights and trends to Marketing partners and leadership that inform messaging and channel strategies
> Establish a measurement framework for audience-led strategies to understand effect on lead generation and create optimization pipelines
> Develop and/or manage the process through which leads captured (through efforts such as CRM) are securely processed and handed off to the Investment Management Sales teams for further lead engagement
> Assess new relationships with internal and external parties which present an opportunity to uplift our segmentation datasets (new data sources or partners)
> Partner with Analytics colleagues on the 1st party data management process required for paid media activation (LiveRamp ingestion and anonymization)
> Conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform and enhance marketing and sales strategies
> Lead and manage advanced analytics projects, including machine learning, predictive analytics, and data modeling, to derive insights and support marketing decisions
> Oversight of MSIM Marketing dashboards and data ingestion to fuel the dashboards
> Work closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, technology, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment with business goals and to communicate actionable insights
> Manage analytics tasks associated with Morgan Stanley Investment Management marketing efforts, spanning web, CRM, paid media, etc.; help guide the strategy for MSIM Marketing analytics overall to ensure impact can be qualified and correlated to business growth activity
> Contribute to the measurement framework for MSIM marketing activities and help translate business objectives into tangible marketing KPIs for various channels > 5-8 years of relevant experience in data & analytics role; financial services category experience is a plus, particularly in the asset management space
> Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, SQL, and Tableau to manage, analyze, and visualize data to drive decision-making
> Demonstrated ability to lead and manage analytics projects, providing strategic direction and ensuring the successful implementation of initiatives
> Experience in implementing data-driven marketing strategies, including lead passing and segmentation
> Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences, including senior executives
> Collaborative team player who can partner with Firmwide Marketing Analytics team and develop strong relationship for cross-Firm consistency and utilization of best practices
> Highly analytical with ability to receive raw data and transform it into strategic, actionable insights for broader audiences with a range of backgrounds or seniority
> Extreme focus on accuracy and organization to facilitate ongoing data validation and excellence in analytics operations
> Resourceful; able to exercise good judgment and come to creative solutions independently
> Constant desire to learn and uncover trends in a rapidly changing industry, knowledge of competitive and industry trends

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $145,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
