This function facilitates enhanced delivery capability to effectively manage the increasing pipeline of critical technology, regulatory, risk and control-based programs.

Position Description: Seeking a seasoned Data and Business Analyst to join the Strategic Program Execution (SPE) team. This role sits at the heart of the SPE strategy in the Cyber Data Risk and Resilience (CDRR) division. The qualified candidate will bring their advanced expertise in data mining, analytics and visualizations, and critical thinking to the Cross Divisional Program. Business engagement and business enablement are fundamental to success.

In this function, data manipulation and cleansing, quality control, proficiency in cleaning and preparing data for analysis, including handling missing or inconsistent data, will be required of a multitude of large datasets with varying types and formats. Data visualization is subsequently pivotal to crafting the applicable message to the right audience. The ability to create visual representations of data using Morgan Stanley tools, advanced skills in designing charts, graphs, dashboard to convey insights effectively are required. Timeliness, attention to detail, and ensuring data accuracy are key to storytelling, such that meticulous data quality checks are necessary to ensure consistent integrity of the data is maintained throughout.

A successful candidate uses analytical and critical thinking. They are equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively. They have strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets, and excel in identifying trends, patterns and anomalies in the data, particularly essential when dealing with disparate datasets. They have capacity to assess situations objectively and evaluate data from different perspectives. They are balanced with a confident can-do attitude but are not a 'yes-person.' They are skilled in questioning assumptions and validating data driven conclusions. They are customer focused not only crafting the data message, but also in engagement model. They are a self-starter, planner, and are execution and delivery focused. The qualified candidate understands the importance of establishing themselves as a reliable 'source of truth,' building relationships and partnering across a range of contributors. Given the impact of this role, commitment to data integrity and data interpretation are keys to success, and a good sense of humor never hurts.

Skills Required:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel for data mining, analyses, and modeling

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint for visualization and storytelling

  • Strong ability to interpret complex datasets, questioning assumptions, validating data driven conclusions while ensuring data integrity throughout

  • Strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, and problem solving
