Corporate Treasury, Treasury Capital Markets Associate/Director (AVP)

Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory service to senior management and internal business units. It also optimizes the Firm's liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors.

As a member of Corporate Treasury, you will be supporting Treasury activities of the MSEHSE Group and across the EMEA region. The role is based in Frankfurt however will involve working closely with teams across Europe. In particular, you will have regular and direct interactions with the Global Treasury team, Risk, Operations, other Finance Groups, IT and the business units as well as regulators like BaFin, Bundesbank and ECB where required.

What will you be doing?
  • Manage liquidity investments, funding and risk hedging requirements of EMEA entities
  • Analyse liquidity, funding and collateral flows throughout the day
  • Manage and monitor money market transactions, reverse repurchase agreements, FX spot and forwards and interest rate swaps, structured note issuances and deposits
  • Support in managing and overseeing Interest Rate and Credit Spread Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB/CSRBB)
  • Develop analysis and reporting on underlying drivers of funding requirements and specific funding structures as part of the annual and quarterly funding planning process
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for various governance committees e.g. Asset Liability Committees (ALCOs)
  • Build effective working relationships with other key stakeholders within Corporate Treasury as well as Firm Risk Management, Financial Resources & Strategy, Finance, Operations and Technology

What we're looking for:
  • Good working knowledge of one or more of the following areas, e.g. capital markets, strategic consulting, financial analysis, Corporate Treasury, e.g. liquidity and funding. Previous working experience in these areas beneficial
  • Knowledge of financial markets and products; Experience of managing deposits is a plus
  • Worked in a high-paced environment and can use multi-tasking to your advantage
  • Good quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; Ability to understand complex transactions

Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across local and global offices
  • Ability and willingness to work with global teams and colleagues across regions contributing to common goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Post graduate qualification and degrees such as ACT, CFA, ACA, MBA or equivalent beneficial
