Morgan Stanley Fixed Income Strats are looking for an experienced developer to work on technical infrastructure and model integration for risk and P&L system and related components. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with outstanding technical skills who want to leverage their talent in solving business problems in a complex, diverse and global environment. Commodities Strats team in Budapest is increasing its footprint in technology infrastructure work. The effort includes work with existing and future pricing libraries, scenario generation framework, data feeds, reference data, etc. Major focus is in formalizing existing libraries and processes to make current and future tasks more efficient and streamlined, and to reduce duplication, fragmentation and operational risk.

The role is ideal for inquisitive, self-motivated, and well-organized candidate with strong development skills and experience. The candidate will work with colleagues from strats, business unit, IT, and other areas in Budapest and other global locations (primarily NY and London).

Candidates will be expected to participate in analysis and design tasks in the department-wide migration to strategic trading, and risk and P&L platform.

Apply now if you have:
  • Degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics
  • 3+ years experience in C++ or Scala
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with software development and knowledge of git
  • Experience with Python, SQL, Unix environment is a plus.
  • Advanced communication skills in English
