Automation Specialist Responsibilities:
The Automation Specialist will be part of the Global Equity Solutions group within the Morgan Stanley at Work organization. Global Equity Solutions is responsible for the engagement, onboarding and day to day service management of corporate clients and their equity administration plan terms and associated service offerings. The candidate will work cross-functionally towards a goal of successful end-to-end delivery of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects bringing a willingness to do what it takes to get milestones delivered in a timely and accurate manner. The candidate will build exceptional relationships with both immediate and cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment focusing on all aspects of client readiness and support for clients as they move through the full lifecycle of onboarding activities onto the Morgan Stanley at Work equity administration platforms.
This position is responsible for the successful completion of several concurrent RPA projects. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and have strong integration experience, with a proven track record of achieving success in a fast-paced, results-driven organization.
This highly visible position involves interacting with a variety of individuals at all levels within the organization. Candidate must be driven, collaborative and a self-starter, be organized and detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. This position requires the ability to understand complex software and business concepts and to quickly absorb the business details.
The Automation Specialist:
- Completes a variety of RPA projects in a timely and high-quality fashion and in a manner that meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Innovate, Develop, and implement RPA technologies and streamline Morgan Stanley at Work processes.
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore stakeholders on project details and technical queries
- Serves as a trusted subject matter expert to position best-practices with internal stakeholders.
- Stays current with new technology, products and enhancements, and their integration into application and operations.
- Builds strong relationships with internal business and technical teams to facilitate the development and delivery of RPA requests.
- Ensures developed RPA solutions are delivered to the highest standards, inclusive of end-to-end testing are performed, meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Analyzes existing processes and tools, with the goal of identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensures quality control of all developed and modified solutions.
- Ensures that internal and client-facing documentation is complete and current.
Experience
- BS/BA Degree or diploma in the Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Management, Business, Finance, Sciences, or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in Software development.
- A background in software development with proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Java, Python, C#, UiPath, MS Power Platform, etc.)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and best practices
- Sets a high standard of accountability and dependability.
- Experience working in highly collaborative, team-centric environments.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and able to effectively manage themselves.
- Success at delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and high attention-to-detail
- Able to learn new skills quickly; Self-motivated for continuous learning.
- Experience working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
- Experienced working with data migration, or the management and transformation of large amounts of data that at times may be ambiguous.
Communication
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills. Can accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks.
- Experience in successfully handling multiple projects at one time. Ability to multi-task and reprioritize activities with little supervision.
- Strong communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills
Strongly Desired Technical Qualifications
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools including CI/CD pipelines.
- Advance data transformation skills using Python or SQL is strongly desired.
- Understanding of Data security and compliance requirements in software development.
- UiPath, Artificial Intelligence and OpenAI skills is strongly desired.
Preferred Technical qualification.
- Operational knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Salesforce is strongly desired.
Preferred Skillsets
- Certified Scrum Master or similar Agile certification is preferred.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing or Quality Framework is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred .
- Basic understanding of equity and employee benefit plans, preferred.
- CEP certification preferred.
