Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks an Associate, Trading in New York, New York

Facilitate trades and structure existing and new Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. Responsible for pool and Collateralized Mortgage Obligations. Collaborate with clients and sales departments. Trade and bid underlying collateral (Mortgage-Backed Securities). Produce month end commentaries to provide market update for internal and external stakeholders. Quantify relative value of the security by computing Option Adjusted Spread Analysis, Option Adjusted Duration, and Convexity. Monitor current risk of exiting position using Hedge Rations.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000.00 and $200,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Agency Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) trading including To-Be-Announced (TBA) securities, Ginnie and Conventional specified Pools, Collateralized Mortgage Obligations -new issue and secondary, and Adjustable Rate Mortgage backed securities; MBS markets including MBS duration, convexity, mortgage prepays, dollar rolls, spread metrics including zero-volatility, option-adjusted spread, Z-spread, and option costs calculation; macroeconomics, game theory microeconomics, and fixed income products including U.S. government bonds and futures; Excel; Intex Dealmaker; Yieldbook; and Bloomberg. Requires certificate: FINRA Series 63.
