This role is part of Parametric' s hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2-3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The operations department consists of a team of professionals that focuses on the overall operations of Parametric. This group ensures the production process is complete from start to finish and lines up with the goals and functions of other departments within the firm. Examples include supervising, organizing, and completing daily production, measuring and evaluating daily workload, and providing services to ensure the business runs as smoothly and effectively as possible.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Performance Team serves as the firm's expert for calculating performance for all accounts and a select set of composites. The performance data the team generates and disseminates to both internal and external clients is an integral piece of the investment reporting engine. The team is responsible for all asset class performance, spanning equity, fixed income, derivatives, overlay and multi-asset. They calculate, gross-of-fee, net-of-fee and pre-tax performance in addition to after-tax performance on many of the firm's tax managed strategies. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams and a high level of initiative, in addition to the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the entire life cycle of the firm's performance process, including data cleansing, working with cross-functional teams on data exceptions, and processing data through completion to support client reporting for over 100,000+ accounts and other performance related deliverables, primarily within the equity asset class.
- Assist in the calculation of performance and maintenance of non-GIPS composites.
- Assist with portfolio manager analysis requests.
- Assist in the distribution of monthly/quarterly/annual performance-related deliverables.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external entities.
- Perform daily and monthly audits as needed.
- Own and escalate urgent issues, reconciliation discrepancies, and breakdowns in operational controls.
- Evaluate and improve existing operational processes and procedures to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
- Create and maintain written procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's (4yr) degree w/concentration in Business, Finance, Math, Accounting or related field.
- 1 - 5 years investment management industry performance experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals\departments across the businesses, as well as external relationships at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks.
- Strong professional demeanor, proven leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of corporate actions, cash flows & dividends desired.
- CIPM designation or progress towards CIPM highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Advent APX, FactSet, APL, Bloomberg, or other relevant portfolio accounting, trade, and reporting systems.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and Excel skills
- Experience with VBA, R, Python, or SQL a plus.

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 150,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
