Department Profile

Financial Resources and Strategy (FRS) is a division within the Institutional Securities Group (ISG) that is responsible for secured funding, collateral management, margin optimization, CCP relationship management and managing leverage, capital and liquidity across ISG. The team is responsible for governance, creation of minimum standards and best practices, including review/establishment of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and related thresholds across the businesses. This team acts in collaboration with divisional Business Control Units (BCUs) and Risk Managers.

Background on the Team

The FRS Reporting team is responsible for reports on financial metrics and market information which are provided to different business units within FRS and more broadly across ISG; these reports support business decisions related to, but not limited to, Secured Financing, Central Clearing Counterparty Management, Collateral Management and Margin.

Primary Responsibilities
• Create, maintain, and improve business reports and metrics in Excel.
• Provide high-level, prompt service to our internal clients.
• Analyse historical trends in data components.
• Create Power Point presentations for senior management.
• Contribute to the automation of the reports, on macro/tools development and maintenance.
• Help in Streamlining/Tool Building for Internal Reporting and creating bespoke reports.
• Participate in global projects from Mumbai in terms of requirements gathering, testing and validation.

Primary/Required Skills (Need to have):
• Graduate and holding an MBA degree in Finance from a reputed institute.
• 1-3 years of experience in the Finance industry.
• In-depth understanding of Financial Products (Equities and Fixed Income).
• Good command of Excel, Advanced excel functions, Power Point.
• Working knowledge of Macros / Power BI / Python / Alteryx / any other programming/scripting language.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Fluent English for use in a professional environment.
• Strong Analytical skills and hands-on approach to solving problems and automating process/tasks.
• A pro-active, solution-oriented mindset and strong attention to details; Team player.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Desired Skills (Good to have):
• CFA or FRM aspirant.
• Good understanding of Financial Risk concepts.
• Background in Financial/Risk products/services.
• An understanding of and strong focus on the mechanics of a Risk/Control environment, including escalation.
• Enthusiasm to volunteer for planning, organizing, and participating in events held by the department and the Firm.
