Background on the Team
We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven professional with global perspective to join the Mumbai based Portfolio Manager Support Services Group.
This role will reside within MSIM's Eaton Vance Equity team, which manages over $35B of assets, with six distinct investment teams, that manage diverse strategies across U.S., international and global equity covering various market capitalization and investment styles. The role will support the Portfolio Specialists as they partner with key stakeholder functions such as Sales & Distribution, Legal, Compliance, and Risk. The role requires a self-motivated independent thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and is detail oriented.
Responsibilities
• Play an integral role in supporting Portfolio Specialists and Business COO.
• Position will focus on a variety of equity strategies, including Global/International Large Cap, Global/International Small Cap, Value, Core/Growth, and U.S. Small-Cap.
• Write portfolio reviews & market outlook commentary, and respond to ad-hoc research requests based on investment team discussions, internal attribution data and external sources.
• Perform competitor analysis and market research.
• Establish, coordinate, and monitor evolving calendar of RFP, RFI, and Due Diligence requests across products and distribution partners. Maintain a tracker of progress across potential sales opportunities to ensure successful completion.
• Assist with the onboarding and servicing of clients, including establishing and maintaining client reporting in accordance with IMAs.
• Partner with centralized functions and hold teams accountable for timely deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical resources to facilitate automation of client reporting, marketing collateral, and other areas to gain efficiencies.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and availability of internal and external marketing collateral.
• Perform quality control checks of client reporting and marketing materials to ensure accuracy.
Skills desired
• An undergraduate in business, finance, or another related field.
• Knowledge of equity markets, including non-US markets.
• 3-6 years of experience the financial services industry, in an investment/portfolio specialist or business development capacity preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with drive to be successful and ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasks without reminders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player who enjoys working with others and reaching out proactively throughout the firm to gather information.
• Willingness to provide exceptional ongoing and bespoke service requires flexibility, meeting tight timelines, and thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
• Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
