Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, Data & Technology in New York, NY

Design, implement, and maintain Test Cases and Test Plans for the Firm's proprietary software. Design, implement, and maintain Automated Test Suites for the Firm's proprietary software. Perform functional, exploratory, user acceptance testing, and automated testing as part of Software Development Lifecycle and Release Process. Contribute to development across the entire stack (backend, DB, front end, UI). Engage in a collaborative team environment including business partners and product owners. Contribute to high-velocity software delivery with safety. Enable agility and iterative changes to the UI and product design. Mentor junior QA associate in test planning. Lead and co-ordinate testing effort of the QA team within the development team.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $142,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test, Software Developer, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: programming/scripting languages including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, and Angular JS; test automation frameworks including Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, Junit, Jasmine, Mocha, TestNG, Nunit, and Karate; test automation tools including Postman, SOAP-UI, Browserstack, LambdaTest, and Jmeter; DataBases including MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB; SQL coding and debugging; Jira; CI/CD pipelines and tools including Github, BitBucket, and Jenkins; testing cloud platform services; testing web applications, web API service (build in .net and java) and data driven applications; cloud frameworks and tools including AWS, Docker, and CloudTrail; finding the cause of application defects by analyzing application logs or using systems monitoring tools; preparing test data to allow repeatable manual and automated testing; testing methodologies including black box, white box, system, functional, load and performance testing, and automated testing; designing and implementing automated test suites for web application, web API service, and database testing.
