Consulting Group (CG) is the investment advisory arm of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management with a long standing tradition of serving clients, from the individual investor to larger institutions, providing each with investment consulting advice and services. CG leverages global resources from across the firm to provide access to advice and investment manager research.
Department Summary
The CG Business Risk team is responsible for developing and implementing solutions for strategic risk initiatives, providing risk-based guidance to the business, conducting advisory program supervision, providing guidance and leadership on risk controls, and producing data solutions and analytics to make informed risk and business decisions.

Position Summary
- Assist the CG Business Risk group in their day to day responsibilities
- Assist in preparing field outreach to Financial Advisors, Branch Managers, and Risk Officers regarding Supervision Variances
- Perform periodic reviews as outlined in the documented Control Procedures - communicate/escalate findings and issues to the appropriate business groups and CG Business Risk Management
- Help identify, measure, document, and mitigate new Business Risks
- Help the team create synergies amongst product, program and platform across Wealth Management to achieve cohesion in risk management practices
- Communicate initiatives, priorities, and education to field facing support staff via email and phone conversations
- Prepare metrics around the different oversight reviews and tasks handled within the Business Risk Group
- Maintain reporting around current daily tasks and initiatives
- Analyze large sets of data and report findings to the team
Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting or other related fields
- Understanding of Compliance and Audit practices
- Business Process and control environment experience preferred
- Risk Management experience preferred
Skills/Abilities
- Self-starter, high energy and motivated to tackle difficult risk issues
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Data analytics skillset and working knowledge of Dataiku, Tableau, and/or SQL preferred
- Ability to work independently, promote teamwork and execute sound reasoning and judgment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to form relationships and build a network throughout the organization
- Positive attitude - capable of working well under pressure, solicit and incorporate feedback while delivering on high priority, time sensitive initiatives
- Willing to obtain a working knowledge of investment and operational risk policies, procedures, and practices
- Demonstrate an understanding of the financial services industry, Advisory products etc.

Coverage for Audit Jobs
• Monday to Friday from 12:00PM to 9:00PM India time with flexibility on standard working hours for time sensitive matters.
• Periodic evening calls with US and EMEA Internal Auditors and auditees.
