Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks to fill the position of Associate, Banking in New York, NY.
Coordinate client conversations with syndication partners to facilitate selling down senior mortgages and real estate mezz loan to investors. Advise real estate sponsors on pricing and financing structure exercises based on the Firm's current market intelligence and product knowledge. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to finalize financing trade and syndication transfers with the Firm's clients. Analyze market studies of U.S. and Europe real estate markets to assist with business lending due diligence for client updates.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225000 and $250000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as an Associate, Analyst, or a related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: underwriting commercial real estate credit across asset types including: office, multifamily, student housing, retail, and industrial; financial statements and concepts; DCF, excel and argus software modeling; structuring mortgage and mezzanine loan sales, including: colending and intercreditor agreements; negotiating with investors on structuring and loan workouts; fixed income products and market landscape including: interest rates products, CMBS, CRE, and CLO; collaborating with internal teams including underwriting, legal, asset management, and sales; utilizing Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to write and produce client materials.
