Work as a software developer and collaborate with other developers, business analysts, system analysts, and quality assurance staff to architect, design and implement enhancements to custom software applications in business software systems. Develop business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Design, code, test, debug, document and support all types of software applications consistent with establish specifications and business requirements to deliver business value. Drive technical software development and deliver high quality software products to customers. Work closely with business and other development teams to architect for building the best quality software product in the most efficient way through bringing changes and innovations for software engineering systems. Build, manager and grow a high performing team of Web engineers. Provide guidance to technology partners on complexity and delivery estimates. Provide team guidance on code reviews, unit and functional testing, branching strategy, and release coordination.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $180,000.00 and $180,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related degree and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Application Developer, Software Engineer, Java Developer, Project Lead, or a related technology role. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Software development projects using Agile and DevOps; FreeMarker; XSL; React; Angular; HTML; CSS; JavaScript; jQuery; NodeJS; Adobe using Sling components to develop responsive web applications; developing WCAG compliant web applications; application release automation tools; building automation tools including NPM and Grunt; IDE including Visual Studio Code or IntelliJ; Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline; JIRA; Jenkins; GIT/Bitbucket administration, including branching models and workflows, and merge/conflict resolution; client-side debugging tools to troubleshoot issues across multiple browsers including Firefox, Chrome, Edge and Safari; and software application and system architecture.
