Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Application Development in Menlo Park, CA

Develop secured back-end components and connect the application with other web services. Analyze

business requirements and translate designs and wireframes into technical requirements. Implement a highly accessible in-memory cache to minimize data access latency, improve throughput, and ease loading with Redis. Adopt error and exception handling techniques, server, and platform security to implement security procedures. Build data security in Node.js modules using crypto to retrieve and transfer the user information securely with decoded key. Develop and deploy scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure applications and manage infrastructure in all environments. Develop Web Services to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system. Develop and implement test validations of applications.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $157,000 and $157,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering (any), Information Systems Security, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Application Developer, or related occupation in the technology field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: JavaScript; TypeScript; Jenkins; CI; CD; Bit bucket; and Agile. Requires three (3) years of experience with: Node.js; Java; Spring Boot; ExpressJS; API test clients including Postman and REST API; Logsearch tools including Elastic search; Mocha and chai junit; and swagger. Requires two (2) years of experience with: DB (SQL or NOSQL).
