Develop analytics-based solutions that can be tested and deployed to enable data driven recommendations and outcomes. Partner with marketing, servicing, digital, products strategy, and participant engagement teams to understand business requests and problems, primarily focusing on Retirement and Stock Plan business. Translate the abstract business request into concrete, well-defined analytical problems. Analyze large, complex data sets to reveal underlying patterns, correlations and trends quantitatively. Extract data into usable formats and analyze it to understand every attribute, find errors and gaps in data, and treat missing values. Manipulate and prep the data for quantitative analysis and machine learning. Leverage inferential statistics trends, seasonality, and the impact of external factors for exploratory analysis. Develop analytical models, insights, and data products to address the problem statement and deploy to enable data driven recommendations and outcomes. Implement and scale-up high-availability analysis and algorithms. Automate manual processes to streamline data solutions at scale. Identify business insights from the developed analysis and reports and relate it back to original business problem. Visualize findings and communicate effectively to non-technical audience. Coordinate with business and tech partners to transform data processes and develop end-to-end data flow process to enable use cases with analytical insights.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $138,000 and $138,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as an Associate, Quantitative Analyst, Data Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires three (3) years of experience with: extracting insights and identifying patterns from data sets to develop data-driven strategies using SQL, Python, and R; working with stakeholders to identify needs and provide analytical solutions to solve business problems; writing high performing scalable code in Python, R and SQL; automating manual processes using Python, R and SQL; Agile Methodology and Atlassian tools including Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence; building dashboard and data visualization in PowerBI or Tableau; machine learning and deployment tools and techniques including regression, classification, time-series, PCA, gradient boosting, deep-learning, tensorflow, keras, docker, and kubernetes.
