Profile Description:

We're seeking someone to join our Client Relationship Management team as a lead for India in the Advisory Sales & Distribution department, to provide leadership and oversight over our teams and projects.

Institutional Securities Technology:

Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. IST's 'clients' include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research, Prime Brokerage and Global Capital Markets.

Advisory & Sales Distribution:

Advisory is responsible for end-to-end process life cycle support for Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets and Research with a focus on efficiency, scale, and time to market. Sales Distribution develops technology for the firm's IED and FID Sales and Distribution business units, creating application synergies across the businesses various platforms

What you'll do in the role:

  • Take ownership of specific development projects executed out of Bengaluru. Scope out, estimate, plan, execute and track deliverables on projects.

  • Build out teams locally, working on the hiring of both employees and contractors, managing the relationships with vendors for the latter

  • Provide technical leadership across the regional and global team, and career management for senior employees.

  • Work effectively with colleagues across the global team.

  • Lead the design and architecture of the middleware services-based platform.

  • Keep abreast of new technologies, bringing ideas into the team to further enhance the technology platform and portfolio of applications for our business.

  • Participate in broader technology forums within Morgan Stanley.

  • Build and foster relationships with external application infrastructure groups What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong, proven track record in Software Development and Delivery Management background, having delivered Enterprise level systems

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 15+ years of Experience with software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, build tools, and architecting/developing software for scalable, distributed systems.

  • Deep understanding and contributing to the technical solution from design through to code level e,g, using domain driven design

  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code, preferably in Java/HTML5

  • Experience in and understanding of data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses. Experience using and/or managing databases.

  • Knowledge of Big Data, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related industry and technical concepts.
