The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Firm's equity Sales & Trading operations provide liquidity, distribute content, and create product solutions to help our clients generate alpha. The Equity Financing Products department acts as a strategic partner to more than 800 top hedge fund managers: executing and clearing trades across asset classes, time zones, and currencies; providing financing and expertise to help manage risk and benefit from technology; and consults to help launch new funds and connect with them potential investors.

Position Description:

The Institutional Equity Division (IED) is a global leader in the origination, distribution and trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The Quantitative Investment Strategies group creates rules-based investment strategies that provide our clients with a wide range of exposures. We are looking for an experienced quantitative developer to join the QIS Strats team to help develop our library/platform used for QIS strategies, with a focus on automation of processes using cutting edge technology.

Responsibilities:
• Write high-quality code to enhance and add new functionality to the internal library that QIS strategies are built on.
• Write high quality documentation, and extensive unit/regression testing.
• Ensure correctness of risks and PnL produced by the library engines so systematic trading strategies can be hedged accurately by the trading desk.
• Migrate existing QIS strategies so that they leverage latest features of the library.
• Debug existing infrastructure to locate and extract efficiency gains.
• Investigate and fix incorrect risk, PnL, and PnL attribution.
• Understand systematic trading strategies, theory of risk premia investing, and mechanics of self-financing trading.
• Work closely with several global teams and interact with them closely to deliver result for the business.

Required skills:
• Postgraduate degree in Statistics/Computer Science/Math/Engineering
• 2 to 6 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Skilled at object-oriented programming (inheritance, abstraction, encapsulation)
• Familiarity with financial concepts.
• Strong interest and demonstrated experience in advanced Quantitative and/or Data Science domains
• Team player, good communication skills, self-starter, detail oriented
