Alternative Investments Client Solutions - Head of Strategic Projects and Business Management - ED

The Alternative Investments business mission is to provide MSWM clients with a unique, world-class, diverse array of alternative investment products and services through product origination and sourcing, product management and client servicing as well as sales and marketing. It is one of the fastest growing businesses at the Firm and in the industry.

The AI Client Solutions Team is responsible for the servicing of investor accounts through the lifecycle of the investment. It includes investor qualification, subscription and redemption processing, position management, valuations, etc. The role will be responsible for reviewing strategic projects for Alternatives, coordinating execution across a variety of transaction types and teams, and identifying process improvement and efficiencies. The role will also be responsible for Business Management for the Alternative Investments Client Solutions Team

Qualifications - External

- Bachelor's Degree

- Ideal candidate will have 10-12+ years of relevant finance industry experience

- Prior operational and/or alternative investments experience is a plus

- Ability to understand operational processing and how new projects or objectives fit within the current environment is critical

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular strength in Microsoft PowerPoint is required

- Ability to oversee a team and other individuals to stated organizational objectives across multiple locations

- Ability to critically assess processes for optimization and the organization skills to drive continuous improvement to underlying function set

- Ability to ensure consistency and adherence to all procedural guidelines set forth for a process

- Ability to take direction and work independently, as well as in a team environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with senior management
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills and ability to think and act like an owner
- Efficient time management skills / ability to prioritize competing urgent tasks
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to learn quickly in an adapting environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
