An analyst/associate role on the Real Estate Acquisition Team of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing (MSREI), the private real estate investment management arm of Morgan Stanley and one of the largest private real estate investment platform in the world.
Team members are responsible on a day-to-day basis for:
- Financial modelling, valuation and analysis for investment targets (single asset, multi asset portfolio and corporate related opportunities)
- (With support from senior members) creation of investment committee memo and other internal materials
- Market research and other fundamental analysis
- Support on marketing / sourcing coverage and material preparation
- Deal execution including negotiation and documentation
- Support on asset management activities and internal quarterly valuation for investment under management

Qualifications:
- Fluency in both Japanese and English is required
- Positive attitude, strong motivation and team player personality
- Logical thinking
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and time effectively
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Excel (required) and PowerPoint (preferred)
- Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses (corporate analysis)
