Morgan Stanley FID Secured Lending group ("FSL") is seeking a Vice President to be part of its ABS portfolio management platform based in London.
FSL provides asset-backed financing facilities to both asset originators and financial sponsors, and currently manages a portfolio backed by a diverse range of assets including private credit corporate loans, leveraged loans, residential and commercial mortgages, consumer loans and others in the US, Europe and APAC. The ABS financing portfolio provides financing to the Firms top sponsors across multiple industries and jurisdictions.
The FSL portfolio management team provides ongoing portfolio management, risk oversight and monitoring, and reports to senior management and other key constituents (e.g. Credit department, regulators, borrowers, co-lenders, etc.).

What will you be doing?
• Review new transactions and facility amendments and conduct counterparty due diligence
• Perform portfolio surveillance and stress testing
• Review and approve regular ongoing borrower requests for advances and extensions
• Coordinate restructuring of non-performing loans with the deal team, where necessary
• Assess requests for amendments to loan documentation during the life of the transaction, prepare credit papers for such request
• Prepare periodic facility and portfolio-level reporting for FSL senior leadership as well as business partners in Credit Risk and Capital Markets
• Prepare ad hoc analysis as needed by senior management
• Manage IT automation of reporting and analytics tools with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability
• Lead a team of junior asset managers. Responsible for training and performance management
• Conduct market and asset level research

What we're looking for:
• 6 to 10+ years experience at Banks, Buy Side Firms or Rating Agencies
• Excellent data management and analytical skills (MS Excel, modeling, database management, etc.)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience reading and understanding loan documents
• Business/Accounting/Finance Degree from competitive undergraduate/graduate program
• Previous experience managing junior employees also a positive
• Previous experience with corporate credit or structured products (ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs etc.) is required, is required gained via asset management, portfolio management or underwriting
