Training Program
Starting in August, our global Technology Analyst Program (TAP) consists of an 8-week immersive training curriculum which accelerates talent, enabling them to become productive technologists quickly and poised to build long careers at Morgan Stanley. The program includes an orientation to Technology globally, intensive technical training, introduction to proprietary technologies, and functional training culminating in a four-week group project. A key component of TAP is supporting Analysts to build strong global and regional peer networks. The comprehensive skills acquired during our training programs provide the tools necessary for Analysts to advance into Associates.
Institutional Securities Technology
Our development teams design, develop and maintain applications used by our business units. Daily activities include meeting with clients to gather and analyze requirements. They make system design decisions, evaluating, integrating and developing necessary software, and then test and deploy applications to production. Developing high-performing, low-latency electronic trading systems, and evolving complex workflows and life-cycle management capabilities are just some of the projects available for developers.
Qualifications and Skills
- You are pursuing an undergraduate Bachelor's or Master's degree or Doctorate's degree with a graduation date between October 2024 and July 2025, such as major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering or other related technical majors.
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, C#, Python)
- Good technical skills, including a strong understanding of Linux /Unix and Windows, as well as experience in object-oriented development, good comprehension of data structures, algorithms and complexity theory, strong database and scripting skills.
- Able to demonstrate detail orientation, critical thinking, and ability to anticipate and resolve issues
- You have excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork and analytical skills
- Fluency in English is required
- Experience in the financial services sector is not required
