Modern Animal is looking for an analytical, high horsepower, and collaborative individual to join our Experience team. As a team, we are responsible for the end to end journey of Modern Animal members, including member strategy and experience and our omnichannel business lines. Reporting directly to the Director of Experience, you will be the Strategy & Operations lead for our omnichannel business lines, which currently include virtual care and pharmacy. You will work deeply with Product, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and Finance to enable growth, improve profitability, drive operational excellence, and influence the progression of our business.

We are looking for someone with strong business and financial acumen and outstanding critical thinking skills who can work with data and people to identify opportunities, design creative solutions that simplify complex operational workflows and balance various business objectives, quarterback complex cross-functional initiatives to drive change, and execute with rigor. This role is for truth seekers who enjoy solving complex, strategic problems as well partnering with our care team to bring those strategies to life through flawless execution. What You’ll Be Working On

  • Own Strategy & Operations for our omnichannel business lines: analyze operational/financial data, strategize risks and opportunities, and quarterback the execution of your ideas
  • Unlock meaningful growth in our pharmacy business, partnering with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Brand to test and learn and make it a truly best-in-class experience
  • Drive labor management and forecasting, growth and monetization for our virtual care business, collaborating closely with Virtual Care Operations to ideate and execute
  • Lead as the operational champion of our most complex omnichannel workflows (prescriptions, diagnostics testing, and more), working at the intersection of Product, Virtual Care, and Clinic Operations to drive continuous improvements and simplicity as we scale
  • Quarterback cross-functional launches of new product lines and additional revenue expansion opportunities, setting the bar for execution cross-functionally

Why You’d Be a Great Fit

  • You have 3+ years of experience and you’ve succeeded in a high performance cultures, whether in consulting, tech, investment banking/private equity, or related
  • You thrive in ambiguity. You excel in creating structure out of nothing and you solve problems from first principles
  • You’re highly analytical. You are very comfortable with complex modeling in Excel, and you are comfortable leveraging data to answer complex business questions. SQL is not a requirement
  • You are a change agent with a proven track record of influencing stakeholders, leading initiatives, hitting goals, and succeeding in a fast-paced cross-fucntional environment
  • You’re equally comfortable at 10,000 feet and 1 foot. This means everything from high-level strategy to shadowing every part of a workflow to drive continuous improvement
  • You are a relentless executor who isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get to the lowest level of detail to solve problems. You do whatever it takes to win and get 1% better every day
  • You are an excellent communicator and can tailor to all levels and types of audiences, including technical teams, care teams, executives, and members
  • You’re empathetic. You are highly self aware of your impact on others and will earn the respect and trust of our care team, doing do whatever it takes to ensure successful rollouts
  • Based in San Francisco or Los Angeles, or willing to relocate

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
