This position reports to and supports the Senior Vice President, Investigations & Deputy General Counsel. The work is primarily administrative but includes assistance with projects across a number of functions within the Commissioner’s Office, to include investigations, security, ballpark operations, sports betting, compliance, state government affairs, international operations, and facilities and office operations. The position will work closely with members of these functional teams and often under their direction as well.
Responsibilities:
- Draft emails and letters and format documents
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations
- Coordinate travel and prepare expense reports
- Process and track invoices
- Manage contracts with outside vendors
- Translate documents from English to Spanish and vice versa
- Prepare binders in preparation for witness interviews and administrative hearings, and scan and print documents
- Coordinate interviews and written exercises for candidates for MLB positions
- Organize meetings and manage executive calendars
- Review and analyze documents acquired in investigations
- Work with investigations analysts to gather and analyze publicly available information
- Collect and organize package logs and other documents and information provided by Major League and Minor League Clubs
- Draft training materials and monitor compliance with MLB trainings and other requirements
- Conduct internet research in connection with special projects
- Manage tickets for MLB events
- Perform related duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:
- Fluency in Spanish (oral and written) required
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- This position is based in New York City and requires in-office attendance Monday through Friday
- Must be available and on call to address occasional issues during non-work hours
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
- Highly motivated self-starter who listens, follows directions, and pays attention to detail
- Team player who enjoys working with others
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Pay Range: $67,000 - $74,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
