Job Summary:

Come play a role in the growth of the media sales team within MLB. We are looking for an energetic, experienced Sales Service Executive in New York City.

Responsibilities: 

  • Support a Media Sales Team consisting of Linear and Digital Account Executives, with a primary focus on MLB Sponsorship local business.
  • Develop and implement targeted TV and digital advertising plans tailored to local club broadcasts. 
  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with media agencies and clients directly to build our sponsorship network and drive sales.
  • Assist in prospecting from an existing list of local agencies and businesses, identifying new opportunities for local media broadcasts. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams to respond to RFPs and proactively develop marketing ideas and campaigns. 
  • Assist Account Executives and production in reporting on executed added value components of media buys, ensuring alignment with local audience engagement. 
  • Present advertising solutions and insights to clients, showcasing the value of local media. 
  • Attend events and hospitality engagements in the evenings, such as live baseball games and client outings (i.e., dinners).
  • Participate in occasional travel within the region to strengthen client relationships and explore new opportunities.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, overseeing the development of proposals, deals, and post-deal analysis for local campaigns.
  • Proactively research and prospect accounts to drive new business and enhance market presence.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of media sales experience with a proven sales track record in local markets.
  • Strong understanding of the TV and digital advertising marketplace and its unique dynamics.
  • Experience in sports sales within the local community is a plus.
  • Familiarity with building and analyzing local TV media plans is highly advantageous.

Pay Rate: $67,500 - $72,500
