This individual will assist in the distribution and creation of original content for Major League Baseball players’ social media accounts. This person will be a member of the Player Social team at MLB, supporting the team’s primary goal of providing content to MLB players to help them better engage with audiences on social media and grow their personal brands. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of baseball, a keen eye for quality content, and the ability to work well in groups or on their own.
Essential Functions:
- Follow games to identify and distribute the best content to MLB players on a daily/nightly basis
- Work closely with live content creators at each ballpark to ensure content is being captured and distributed to all players in the program in a timely manner
- Sift through a lot content, photos, and videos and decide what content is highest quality and worthy of player channels
- Track posting of distributed custom content for major MLB events
- Follow MLB players’ content to provide to MLB content team for reposting
- Communicate with players directly in a professional manner
- Work closely with the design team and video editors to create and deliver high-quality social content to players
- Handle submission of player verification requests to social media platforms
- Miscellaneous player social support projects as needed and assigned

Qualifications and Skills:
- 1+ year experience working in social media, digital content, or athlete relations
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) candidates preferred
- Strong understanding of baseball and our players
- Experience creating social content or demonstrate the ability to do so
- Understanding of what type of content works best on each social platform
- Availability to work nights and weekends
Pay Range: $22-$25 an hour
