The Position

We are seeking an ambitious and creative Marketing and Social Media Analyst to work in the Investment & Corporate Banking division of Mizuho reporting to the Managing Director, Head of Business Marketing. This position plays a key function in the promotion of digital media channels including social media, website content and digital email in support of the growth of the brand and promotion of our growth story.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and experience in promoting business and executive profiles by strategically managing social media channels and website content. He/she must be able to collaborate effectively with a talented team of internal professionals and vendor partners - across PR, digital marketing, video production, conferences/events and creative services -- to support the business and brand objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the creative assets, rendering, scheduling, placement and posting of marketing campaigns and content on social media channels in order to increase audience eminence and engagement
  • Work with marketing and design partners to create, review, write and manage marketing and social media assets
  • Maintain and manage divisional website including videos, thought leadership, articles, and podcasts by keeping pages current and updated with fresh content and branded images. Work with banking teams, internal partners and vendors to design appealing and engaging content for placement and optimize SEO for increased website metrics
  • Support efforts with our public relations firm by scheduling of meetings, tracking press calls and coordinating efforts
  • Track, communicate, coordinate and submit house and transaction awards to industry publications
  • Monitor and respond to the workload, resources, and priorities for designers and vendor partners
  • Support internal and client events by providing assistance in the coordination of event execution as needed
  • Partner with the leadership and teams on projects, planning, and strategy
  • Adhere to the policies regarding communication with the public by obtaining and maintaining requisite communication approvals from key stakeholders including legal, compliance, corporate communications and licensed supervisor
  • Work with executive management, front office bankers and COO team to define and craft communications
  • Effectively communicate with and present ideas and requests to senior management and bankers

Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • 2-4 years' marketing experience in an operational or creative field; agency and/or financial services
  • Direct experience managing and maintaining corporate social media channels and building a presence through differentiation, audience targeting and engaging content
  • Exceptional professionalism and confidence demonstrating the ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders and navigate a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency and creativity with marketing formats
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detailed understanding of the creative process for print, digital, video, social marketing media
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to quickly assess and pivot to high priority items
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated drive and motivation to excel
  • Knowledge and interest in corporate finance, capital markets and financial services

The expected base salary ranges from $75K - $80k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
