Mizuho is looking for a San Francisco based TMT Investment BankingVice President focused on Internet, including e-commerce/e-retail, marketplaces, travel, digital media/content, e-commerce tech/internet infrastructure and more. Vice Presidents take a lead role in the design, origination, structuring and execution of M&A, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance and other global products and services for existing and prospective Mizuho clients. A Vice President is expected to identify key industry and product trends and to leverage junior resources to produce pitch and deal materials to enhance the ultimate deliverable to our clients.

Vice Presidents will assume a senior role within a multifunctional team that is responsible for a wide variety of projects, some of which include:

  • Playing key leadership roles in all aspects of executing client transactions
  • Draft, prepare and deliver presentations with that include strategic alternatives, industry perspectives and capital structure analysis Conduct and model a broad range of corporate finance alternatives and due diligence for client transactions including M&A, strategic alternatives, capital structure development, acquisition finance and capital market financing
  • Assist in investment banking coverage of corporate and private equity clients, including pitching and structuring
  • Facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions development across a broad platform of global capabilities
  • Coordinate internal resources and train and develop junior resources

Qualifications :
  • MBA or Masters degree in Finance or Economics or a minimum of 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets experience with a top tier global bank
  • Extremely deep understanding of the Internet sub-vertical including e-commerce/e-retail, marketplaces, travel, digital media/content, e-commerce tech/internet infrastructure and the broader internet sector; experience with banking transaction related to the TMT space is mandatory
  • Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis
  • Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maturity and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Advanced proficiency with FactSet, CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Microsoft Office
  • Series 79 & 63

The expected base salary ranges from $275k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
