Summary:
In this wide ranging role, you will provide financial accounting and operational support to Mizuho Bank management. You are adept at continuously reviewing current operations and identifying areas that can be enhanced for efficiency's sake.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily/monthly monitoring and reconciliations and month-end book closing and prepare various financial statements and reports.
- Respond to requests and inquiries from other departments/units, Head Office and auditors and establish necessary operations to comply with the requirements.
- Perform researches on accounting standards and accounting treatment of existing/new products and transactions.
- Participate in system enhancement projects and business projects from financial accounting perspective.

Technical and Other Required Skills:
- MS Office Suite: Excel (Advanced), Word (Advanced), Access (Intermediate) and PowerPoint (Intermediate)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting or equivalent
- Intermediate knowledge of financial accounting and reporting
- Intermediate knowledge of financial products (e.g., loans, deposits, securities, derivatives, money market products and repo).
- Experience in accounting system implementation is preferable
The expected base salary ranges from $88,000 - $95,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
