Summary:
The America Markets Middle Office supports select Fixed Income and Equities financing related products. This role will support the growing Residential Mortgage Finance (RMF) business and report directly to the VP of the Warehouse Finance team. The position is responsible for driving the coordination of Warehouse Finance operations to deliver ongoing operational excellence initiatives, implement new technologies and controls, and provide exceptional client service which is a key success factor within this business domain.
The role should have a thorough understanding of residential mortgage finance, loan warehouse and resulting capital markets products. The role will work to build upon an established scalable, efficient, and controlled business within Mizuho's operational framework.

Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare new clients for operational readiness. This will include but not limited to KYC client onboarding, bank account opening and preparation of loan booking system.
- Overseeing setup of warehouse facility and UAT testing is an integral piece of this role. Each client will require extensive setup and testing to ensure adherence to legal agreements.
- Engage with internal and external teams who are enhancing core processes, operations and delivering new technologies to support the growth of the business.
- Reviewing and remediating daily reconciliations reports so the banks general ledger is in synch with client activity.
- Monitor daily funding/sales/margin activity within external and internal Mizuho systems. Consolidate required documents to complete transactions.
- Perform monthly servicing updates, coordinate waterfall payments with clients and processing within ProMerit.
- Engaging with clients on a routine basis to understand funding needs, expected paydown activity and address any operational challenges.
- Develop reporting to satisfy internal department requests.
Requirements:
- 4+ years' experience in RMF business with widespread product knowledge
- Working knowledge of MRA/PSL legal agreements and understanding how to properly setup and test a warehouse facility.
- Strong client facing skills and ability to foster client relationships
- Process improvement/design experience
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple shifting priorities
- Working knowledge of ProMerit and SQL is a plus
