In collaboration with GTM partners, we serve solutions through carefully crafted templates, packaged to help teams discover, adopt, and unlock value with Miro's capabilities.

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Solutions Design to lead and inspire our product design team. As a senior leader, you will define the design strategy and execution for our products, ensuring that user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) excellence are at the heart of everything we build. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to shape a cohesive and innovative design vision that drives user engagement, satisfaction, and business outcomes.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the product design team within the Solutions Stream
  • Partner with Product, Data, Engineering, and Marketing counterparts to strategize the domain, and ensure clear goals and priorities for the team
  • Build, mentor, and develop a solid product design crew within your sub-stream
  • Plan design team performance, workload, and career development
  • Evolve the design processes within the broader org to optimize for efficiency
  • Nurture and champion the design culture at Miro

What you’ll need

  • Design Leadership:
    • Develop and execute a compelling product design strategy that aligns with business goals and user needs
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to a growing team of product designers, ensuring high standards of creative and technical output
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design team
    • Establish and promote best practices in product design processes, tools, and frameworks
  • Team Management:
    • Hire, train, and develop top-tier design talent to build a world-class product design team
    • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and manage career development for team members
    • Ensure team members are engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company’s strategic direction
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure that design is fully integrated into the product development process
    • Act as a key stakeholder in product planning and roadmap discussions, bringing the voice of the user into decision-making
    • Partner with engineering to ensure feasibility of design solutions and guide the team to make informed trade-offs when necessary
  • Product Design Execution:
    • Oversee the end-to-end design process from research and ideation to prototyping, usability testing, and final implementation
    • Lead user research and ensure designs are data-driven, addressing user pain points and optimizing for the best possible experience
    • Maintain consistency in brand and product design standards across the product suite while encouraging innovation where applicable
    • Develop and maintain design systems, tools, and guidelines to ensure scalability and consistency
  • Customer-Centric Focus:
    • Advocate for the user by ensuring that design solutions are deeply rooted in an understanding of their needs, behaviors, and challenges
    • Regularly gather feedback from users and iterate on designs to continuously improve the user experience
    • Champion the importance of accessibility, inclusivity, and ethical design practices
