Overview:

As the Vice President of Sales, Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, shaping sales strategy, and leading a growth-oriented Business Unit. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including other business areas (Architecture/Engineering, Construction, Owner Services and Manufacturing), marketing, product, and operations, to achieve ambitious sales targets. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales AECO.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with overall business unit goals.
    • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to identify and maximize the growth opportunities.
    • Set clear sales objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  2. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of sales professionals, including Account Executives and Business Development Representatives.
    • Foster a collaborative and results-driven sales culture.
    • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent.
  3. Revenue Generation:
    • Develop and lead team strategy drive revenue growth by expanding the customer base, increasing deal sizes, and maximizing customer lifetime value.  This is #1 priority!
    • Assist team members by managing key client relationships and strategic accounts.
    • Oversee pricing strategies and negotiations.
  4. Sales Operations:
    • Optimize sales processes, including lead generation, qualification, pipeline management, and forecasting.
    • Implement and leverage sales technologies (CRM systems, sales automation tools, etc.).
    • Ensure accurate sales reporting, forecasting and analytics.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with marketing to align sales efforts with lead generation and demand generation activities.
    • Collaborate with product teams to provide customer feedback and influence product roadmap decisions.
    • Partner with finance and operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  6. Performance Measurement:
    • Regularly assess sales team performance against targets.
    • Provide coaching and performance feedback to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture that aligns with Symetri’s values through continuous assessment and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 plus years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the AEC- Infrastructure space.  Knowledge of Autodesk Build or Procore is a strong plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (master’s degree helpful).
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
    • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and Gong.

 

Highly Desired Not required:

  • Understanding the government and private sector is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk and/or other BIM/CAD, GIS, and FM software is a plus.
  • Experience with Civil Wastewater projects is a plus.

 

The salary range for this position is $125,000 – $140,000, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) of $225,000 – $280,000, depending on experience (DOE).
