What kind of candidate are we looking for? 

Symetri is looking for a Senior BIM Manager to join our consulting team and assist large Owner clients in their capital projects. You will work alongside our clients full time and engage with the entire vendor ecosystem, including the owner, architects, engineers, contractors, commissioning agents, and facility management personnel.   
We’re looking for an individual seeking career advancement, growth opportunities, and a willingness to take charge of an Owners digital delivery and BIM program

Responsibilities will vary daily, so expect mixed assignments per client and individual project. Expected responsibilities:  
  • Strategy Development & Implementation: Collaborate with Senior Project BIM-VDC Managers to create and execute BIM Project Execution Strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals.  
  • Model Coordination & Management: Optimize and manage project models for performance, health, and data integration while ensuring compliance with project strategies.  
  • Technical Support & Innovation: Provide technical support to multidisciplinary teams, investigate advanced modeling processes, and pilot innovative use cases to optimize delivery.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent owner interests, consult with stakeholders, and communicate project delivery insights effectively to ensure alignment and collaboration.  
  • Process & Best Practices: Develop and document processes, lessons learned, and technology best practices to enhance project outcomes and foster innovation.  
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor BIM-VDC Managers and project teams in modeling, coordination, and advanced BIM/VDC techniques to build expertise and improve engagement.  
  • Conflict Resolution: Establish tools and workflows to manage interoperability, track and resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth data-sharing across disciplines.  
  • Lifecycle Optimization: Enhance design, construction, and operational efficiency through advanced BIM and VDC concepts, integrating technology across the project lifecycle.  
  • Leadership & Portfolio Oversight: Lead full BIM-VDC implementation across multiple projects or large, complex projects, leveraging lean and integrated delivery frameworks.  
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously investigate and develop innovative methodologies, staying at the forefront of building information trends and techniques.  
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in design or construction-related field  
  • Must be onsite in Orlando 4 days a week  
  • Experience & Expertise: Over 3–4 years of advanced experience with BIM and VDC technologies in AEC, media, entertainment, or manufacturing, driving the adoption of design and collaboration tools. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Revit troubleshooting, BIM360/ACC, Navisworks for model collaboration, and navigating models efficiently for presentations.  
  • BIM Strategies: Skilled in implementing advanced BIM strategies, including data management and optimizing design processes beyond 3D modeling and clash detection.  
  • Communication & Visualization: Strong graphical and documentation skills to clearly illustrate complex technical processes and communicate effectively during team discussions.  
  • Deliverable Management: Experienced in delivering permit drawing packages, bid packages, and other AEC deliverables, including creating project-specific Level of Development (LoD) criteria.  
  • Problem-Solving & Leadership: Capable of identifying issues, proposing solutions, and contributing to team coordination with confidence in collaborative settings. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the design, engineering, and construction industry, with experience managing complex, multi-trade projects requiring advanced coordination. 
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert in Navisworks navigation, BIM 360, and other collaboration tools, with the ability to manage complex modeling, coordination, and trade sequencing. 
  • Project Management: Proven skills in scope management, schedule and budget compliance, and quality assurance across diverse project types and systems. 
  • Collaborative Leadership: Strong partnership and teamwork skills in creative design processes and fast-paced project environments. 
  • Advanced Technologies: Expertise in model element qualification, estimation, and field measurement/modeling technologies, including laser scanning
