Symetri is seeking an experienced AutoCAD / Revit Software Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have an engineering mindset and extensive experience in software development to support a consulting business with strong focus on developing application plugins, algorithms, and web applications which enhance the productivity of the Design and Construction industry.

They should possess a strong sense of responsibility and initiative and the ability to independently estimate and self-manage task deliverables and deadlines.

They should be comfortable working through uncertain milestones, developing requirements and planning scope to ensure successful project delivery through direct engagement with customers to create creative technical solutions for complex problems.

The position will require strong testing, debugging and organized troubleshooting skills for primarily C# .NET Core/Framework components and codebase which leverage Autodesk .NET APIs to deliver high-quality, secure, and stable code.

The position may further require writing technical design documents, documenting code, participation in design and code reviews with teammates and collaboration with extended external teams of software developers, BAs, and QAs for successful project delivery.

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates located anywhere within the continental United States. Please note, this role does not offer sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, third-party vendors or agencies will not be considered for this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field or relevant experience and
  • Must have 5+ years of professional experience coding and debugging solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in creating Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or Civil 3D plugins, and integrations using REST APIs.
  • History of success in client-facing custom application development: conferring with client, extracting technical scopes, formulating plans, executing within time constraints, delivering solutions and maintaining product iterations.
  • Professional experience engineering software solutions focusing on .NET, C#, Windows Forms, WPF,  XAML development on MVVM architectures.
  • Familiarity with software development management tools, defect tracking tools, including experience with Git/Azure DevOps repos and automating build and deployment processes.
  • Familiarity in Azure platform resources and infrastructure for Front/Back End supporting services.
  • Expertise in software and application design principles and architectures.

Additional Useful Qualifications

  • Professional experience engineering software solutions leveraging React, TypeScript, F#, Fable development.
  • Professional experience engineering software solutions integrating data from Autodesk BIM360 / Autodesk Build(ACC), PlanGrid, Procore, Trimble Connect, BuildingConnected, Newforma, P6 (EPPM), Sage, Viewpoint Vista, Agave or HH2.
  • Experience in Revit Dynamo scripting or using Toric and Workato connectors a plus.

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000, depending on experience.
