Wireless Design Validation Engineer (RF Exposure SAR/PD) Responsibilities:
- Developing test procedures for Specific Absorption Rate, SAR and Power Density, PD testing and evaluation, translating regulatory requirements into test cases
- Testing/evaluating SAR/PD performance on various wireless products
- Coordinating with the certification and compliance team to ensure product validation covers all certification tests
- Forecasting and maintaining related equipment for testing of various radios
- Reviewing, analyzing data from 3rd party lab, and establishing correlation
- Working closely with multiple development teams to debug and analyze the root cause of the issue and provide mitigation plans/suggestions
- RF Exposure (SAR, PD) standard and requirements tracking and interpreting from major regulatory bodies

- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5+ years related experience
- 3+ years hands on experience on wireless SAR/PD testing/evaluation using DASY system
- Experience testing with the SAR related RF test equipment, R&S CMW500 and/or Keysight UXM
- Working knowledge of 5G NR FR1 and FR2, LTE, GSM, UMTS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi technologies up to and including Wi-Fi 6/6e in relation to SAR testing
- Demonstrated experience in SAR compliance requirements - minimum for the USA/CA and EU
- Experience filing FCC KDB inquiries and ISED General Inquiries to clarify and address regulatory questions and concerns
- Experience with different wireless technologies including LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- Demonstrated experience in collaboration and cross-function team work with track record of crafting clear and concise, emails, reports & documents for a broad range of stakeholders
- End-to-End Radio and/or RF Exposure (SAR, PD) compliance management of consumer electronics experience
- Hands-on experience of RF Exposure (SAR, PD) testing on 5G New Radio, Wi-Fi 6E and 60 GHz Wi-Fi
- Experience and knowledge of Time-Averaged SAR, Time-Domain SAR, and SAR simulation tools
- Experience with Antenna/Electromagnetic simulation tools
