Meta is seeking a seasoned professional to join its US Indirect Tax team. You will have a proven record of success with comprehensive US indirect tax technical experience. You will partner with members of accounting and other finance functions, as well as a broad range of cross-functional business teams to surface tax issues, solve problems, and recommend solutions while performing key responsibilities.
US Indirect Tax Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage external service providers on sales/use tax compliance to ensure timely accurate reporting and remittance
- Perform sales/use tax accounts review and reconciliation, working closely with Treasury, AP, and GL teams
- Manage sales/use tax audits and protests
- Research and analyze sales/use tax issues, including assessing impact of new legislations and incorporating tax law changes into tax engine
- Assist with tax system implementations and automations to drive efficiency
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate and resolve sales/use tax issues

- 8+ years of state and local tax experience in Big 4, Government, and/or US multinational company with a focus in sales/use taxes
- Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting or related field
- Technical proficiency in sales/use taxes
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated expertise in communicating intricate ideas in a straightforward and concise way, considering multiple perspectives and needs
- Experience effectively managing external service providers
- Graduate degree with emphasis in Tax
- Prior experience handling sales/use tax matters for technology companies
- Experience with Vertex, RIA Checkpoint, technology tools such as Alteryx and RPA
- Experience working in a rapidly changing and high-energy environment

$142,000/year to $205,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
