As a test integration engineer, you will be responsible for driving manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind RL products. You will play a key role in ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled while balancing tradeoffs between quality/customer experience and operational requirements (processes and costs). You will work in a cross functional environment, collaborating closely with Hardware Test Engineering teams to define test strategy and provide optimal test solutions for manufacturing, integrating with various teams across hardware, software and operations to enable manufacturing tests that meet product specification.
Test Integration Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ideal candidates are those with experience in high volume mass production. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience to proactively lead convergence and maturity of product manufacturing test processes through product NPI (new product introduction) to MP (mass production). This must also be complemented with interpersonal and communication skills, keen focus on driving business results, working in ambiguous environments, willingness to collaborate, proactively identify and assess potential risks to develop optimized test solutions. Key areas of responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the development of test procedures, test plans and test reports. Managing procurement, budget, schedule to develop/execute project plans. Specifying/implementing test process control and data collection, detailing all the ongoing tests.
- Drive communication with internal stakeholders and partners for test development status. Coordinate manufacturing test development activities and hardware/software dependencies.
- Lead and drive cross-functional and cross-vertical initiatives to drive test process standardization and optimization.
- Work with contract manufacturing (CM) and suppliers, lead all the ongoing factory tests for new product introduction from prototype to mass production, enabling CM/supplier manufacturing test engineering.
- Engage early in the product development lifecycle, work closely with development teams to define functional and performance tests. Be the key person concerning calibration, test stations and diagnostics to influence product manufacturability, testability, serviceability, reliability, flexibility and cost effectiveness.
