As a Software Technical Program Manager at Meta Reality Labs, you will lead a cross-functional core team through the Software Development Process (from early concept phase to launch) to develop and launch industry-leading developer experiences for Meta Quest VR/MR Products This is a highly visible role, requiring an experienced leader with demonstrated technical skills and business acumen; skilled at communicating with all levels of the company. Technical Program Manager - VR/MR Product Developer Experiences Responsibilities:
  • Develop software roadmaps based on product and technical requirements and business needs.
  • Lead cross functional teams implementing the roadmap from early stage of development through launch. Lead launch/release activities as it pertains to software features and deliverables.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify constraints, dependencies, risks/issues, and to deliver software features.
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate project statuses, and identify/address potential setbacks.
  • Develop best practices and product development processes in a quickly-evolving environment. Evangelize those practices to enable them to scale across different products.
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables including specifications and test plans.
  • Work with user research and dogfooding teams and co-ordinate user feedback to improve user experience.
  • Provide feedback and influence product design and UX.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review.
  • Identify resources needed and work closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.
  • Up to 15% travel.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or Software Product Manager managing software programs from inception to production.
  • Experience launching consumer products or delivering large software releases.
  • Experience developing software roadmaps for complex consumer products.
  • Knowledge of program and issue tracking tools and software dashboards.
  • Experience building and curating relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience delivering developer focused experiences
  • Familiarity with Virtual or Mixed Reality input and/or interaction modalities

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
