Senior Sports Producer - Metaverse Entertainment

Meta's Reality Labs' Entertainment Content team is seeking a Sports Producer experienced in developing interactive entertainment to create new experiences of various formats across VR, MR, and embodied metaverse surfaces. Ideal candidates will be technically proficient with bold creative taste and vision, motivated with creating compelling consumer experiences. They will communicate effectively across business disciplines including business development, marketing, programming and product - as well as with external developers and artist teams - to successfully launch high profile programs. Candidates must be comfortable wearing multiple hats, but will be chiefly relied on as a key creative executive responsible for leading complex productions with league partners and managing associated internal business affairs.

Senior Sports Producer - Metaverse Entertainment Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with external developers and internal teams to develop, shepherd, and execute compelling interactive content experiences across platforms
  • Set and concise vision and principles for the successful creation and execution of consumer programs, with user experience always front of mind
  • Implement creative and technical solutions to address needs, risks, and gaps related to both content and new platform feature development
  • Provide detailed experiential and technical feedback on projects, ensuring technical aspects are understandable to non-technical audiences
  • Develop timelines and milestones of projects, estimate and vet production budgets, and work with business development and legal on production contracts
  • Effectively influence key partners across Meta departments to align with content mission, and support needs, communicating effectively across levels and disciplines
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of sports experience as an executive or content producer
  • Track record in negotiation, budgeting, and production management to deliver successful content launches
  • Experience with interactive or mixed reality development
  • Experienced navigating ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced, deadline-driven work environments
  • Proven analytic problem-solving experience
  • Proven presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications, Sports Management or any related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fandom, experience or industry relations in MMA
  • Experience managing major sporting league and broadcasters
  • Understanding of sports industry, current market, and trends

$154,000/year to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
