Meta is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our Global Finance Risk & Controls (R&C) team. As the Finance Systems Risk Advisor, this position will be responsible for providing risk management expertise, with a focus on financial systems and applications, to guide our Business Process Owners and other internal cross-functional partners to strengthen their control environment. Bringing deep IT General Controls expertise and understanding the interdependencies with business processes, IT systems and applications is critical for this role. They will have hands-on experience identifying and addressing financial, operational and IT risks in business processes, evaluating and supporting the design of internal controls, and assessing the effectiveness of processes and controls. The position reports to the R&C Advisory & Technology Enablement Manager.The ideal candidate should be adaptable, experienced in risk assessing or auditing complex finance and engineering systems and navigating a dynamic environment. Successful candidates will be expected to possess strong technical and communication skills and forge relationships with a high credibility-factor among the Finance Global Process Owners, Technology organizations and Internal Audit. The role will effectively manage ambiguity, problem solve, recommend solutions, perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to proactively identify and address financial, operational and IT risks.

Risk & Controls Finance Systems Advisor Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Risk & Controls advisor, with a focus on IT risk within Finance systems and applications, to identify and assess the impact of IT systems/applications risks on end to end Finance business/operational processes
  • Identify and recommend strategies to mitigate risks associated with new/existing IT systems and applications. Maintain a prioritized roadmap to track control gaps/issues and align controls across platforms.
  • Maintain Finance IT risk frameworks including the Risk and Control Matrices (RCM), policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners on the development and implementation governance frameworks that incorporate the use of generative AI, ensuring compliance with industry standards, company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Enterprise Products, Internal Audit, Compliance, etc.) to ensure alignment of risk management strategies with business objectives and continually improve control practices
  • Develop control testing scripts and perform control monitoring testing, as needed.
  • Demonstrate ability to improvise and adapt quickly, while ruthlessly prioritizing
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in IT risk management, IT audit/internal audit, or related field Experience with IT controls, risk assessments, and the design and testing of controls and security measures across diverse IT environments
  • 4+ years experience in accounting, consulting or similar field, focused on Systems and Technology Audits or IT Systems Risk Advisory
  • Knowledge of financial systems and applications
  • Proven track record of identifying and mitigating risks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of key frameworks including COSO Internal Control Framework, IT General Controls (ITGC), COBIT, and NIST
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification such as CISA, CIA, or CPA
  • Master's degree in computer science, information security, information systems, or related field
  • Experience with financial systems or ERP packages such as Oracle, SAP, and PeopleSoft.
  • Experience driving process and technology changes in large organizations.
  • Experience with digital risk management skills (Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), etc) and related governance frameworks

$137,000/year to $195,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
