Meta is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to join the controllership function, supporting the dynamically evolving revenue accounting landscape. This role will help support revenue accounting and operations for our many evolving product initiatives. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recording and reporting of revenue. In this role, you will partner closely with a large team of cross-functional business partners, engineers, and the broader finance team to develop a demonstrated understanding of the product and ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition. You will combine business acumen and technical accounting knowledge to foster deep collaboration and provide sound advice to your business partners.

Revenue Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an accurate and timely month-end close process for revenue
- Develop robust accounting processes and controls for new products, and maintain and improve existing processes and controls for existing products. Ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and revenue recognition policies
- Support the business with new product launches and ongoing business initiatives
- Partner with product engineering on testing and delivery of system solutions
- Ensure compliance with key control objectives in the revenue accounting cycle
- Supporting ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as required, including data analysis and management reporting, design of accounting operational processes, business processes, global close efficiency improvements, automation, etc.
- Support detective controls and analytical review of revenues
- Problem-solve, recommending solutions, and thinking strategically on a process level, while always anchoring your solutions based on a robust understanding of the details
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting, including revenue recognition
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Technical accounting background, with a working knowledge of ASC 606
- Experience understanding complex products and related revenue accounting implications
- Experienced with Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Google Data Studio
- Experience with developing robust accounting processes and controls for new products and improving existing process for highly scaled products
- Experienced in communicating with a cross functional and internal audience with an experience to distill complex concepts and analysis into concise actionable conclusions
- Experience managing time-sensitive projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a diverse range of stakeholders
- Certified Public Accounting (CPA)
- Experience in business analytics, data analysis, data visualization, and working with spreadsheet software, SQL, Python or similar tools
- Oracle ERP and Salesforce experience

$113,000/year to $165,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
