We are looking for a Public Policy Manager, who will be part of the Public Policy EU Affairs team. You will join a team that leads all aspects of Meta's public policy work with the EU in this priority market for the company. You will help shape policy conversations with policymakers in the EU institutions and in the broader business sector/civil society. The role will focus on executing policy advocacy campaigns, building partnerships, general support with daily engagement activities and internal coordination. You'll work with Brussels and the wider Europe policy team. Successful candidates will enjoy public engagement and be excited about the possibility of representing Meta externally, while ensuring internal communication and coordination.

Public Policy Manager, EU Affairs, Brussels Responsibilities:
- Execute on the EU Affairs policy advocacy strategies and campaigns to support core company policy goals.
- Engage and build relationships with policymakers, business/industry and other third party organisations on technology policy issues, focusing on competitiveness and economic policy, innovation and AI, and industrial policy. In relation to the latter, you will support a workstream around policy issues/questions impacting hardware (e.g. batteries).
- Project manage complex workstreams in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Lead and support events' organisation, and other activities as necessary.
- Build and manage meaningful partnerships with key advocacy, research and academic organisations.
- Support internal communication and coordination between the Brussels and regional teams to ensure alignment.
- Developing of analyses of ongoing policy developments to contribute to internal documents, reports and memos.
- 4+ years of experience - ideally in the EU institutions, otherwise in business, or agencies.
- Experience working on policy issues relating to competitiveness, economic policy and AI.
- Robust knowledge of the EU's technology, competitiveness and AI landscape, in particular institutions, key organisations, industry/trade bodies, and public commentators.
- First hand experience with the EU legislative process and experience/involvement in EU policy advocacy campaigns.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, communications and events' organisation skills.
- Demonstrated experience in analytical and authoring skills.
- Experience managing time-sensitive projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Fluent English.
- German language skills are a plus.
- Experience working on industrial policy and innovation, including issues related to hardware.
