Program Manager, Regulatory Readiness Operations

The Regulatory Readiness Ops team works across Legal, Public Policy, and Product to understand regulatory impacts to Global Operations. Our mission is to reduce Meta's regulatory non-compliance risk by making new regulation implementations predictable, scalable and repeatable for Global Operations.As a Program Manager, you'll bring your passion for regulation (Privacy, Content Integrity, Security, etc) and operations together to help develop and execute scalable programs across Global Operations. The Regulatory Readiness Ops Program Manager will be a domain expert in cross-ops regulation and use that expertise to collaborate with cross-functional partners on creating new programs around upcoming regulation.A successful candidate will be effective at navigating relationships between legal, engineering, product, policy and communications to help us achieve OpEx, build trust in Meta and importantly, comply with new regulatory demands.

Program Manager, Regulatory Readiness Operations Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the regulatory landscape to generate greater visibility around upcoming regulation
  • Leverage your knowledge of regulations (Digital Services Act, India IT Act, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Larger Participant Rule, etc) and apply it to real-world product applications in a tech environment
  • Become a domain expert in enforcement policies in order to effectively advocate for our operational needs with key stakeholders (e.g., Product, Engineering, Legal, and other cross-functional teams)
  • Provide clear, concise and consistent communications to Global Operations and cross-functional leadership
  • Work across Global Operations to identify resource needs, operational constraints and overall response to regulations
  • Work with data and measurement partners to identify and track key program performance indicators, and ensure the results contribute to overall company, organization and team level goals
  • Escalate key gaps to policy partners, legal, and community operations, taking ownership of driving collaborative efforts to close these gaps and achieve compliance
  • Program manage cross-ops regulatory initiatives (EU Hate Speech Test, etc)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience working in a legal and/or tech operations environment
  • Persuasive communication skills
  • Problem solving experience within a tech-operations environment
  • Experience with project management and change management
  • Experience in complex cross functional environments involving multiple stakeholders
  • Experience acting independently across priorities and exercising judgment
  • Experience using data and insights to develop targeted programmatic efforts to address problems and opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in legal operations for a tech company
  • Experience in the Legal, Public Policy or Regulatory space
