Meta is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, team player to join our growing policy team in the UK. The position will support the Privacy and Public Policy team's work on strategic engagement and outreach. You should have a wide background in data protection and AI, with experience of wider digital policy issues as well as proven analytical skills and experience in developing materials for internal audiences and other relevant stakeholders.An experience of working with regulators, policymakers, and trade bodies in the region is mandatory. You should also have a proven experience in prioritizing and working efficiently, to drive the most impactful work forwardsThis position reports to an experienced manager who directly reports to the Director of Privacy Policy Engagement

Privacy Policy Associate Manager Responsibilities:
- Engage with external stakeholders to drive conversations around key privacy issues
- Analyse and draft responses to legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, data protection, data and navigating cross-sectional data issues across multiple areas
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and articulate the company's positions on key privacy and data protection issues in the form of internal briefing documents, position papers
- Assist in designing and executing high impact policy strategies and programmatic initiatives in the UK region
- Represent Meta at meetings and conferences where appropriate.
- 4+ years experience working on data policy in the public, NGO, privacy or digital regulatory body, trade, industry or academic sectors
- Highly organized, proven analytical, communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated experience to work in a fast-paced environment and to make sound judgments under tight deadlines
- High degree of flexibility, willingness to travel and to work on a wide variety of legal and policy questions
- A law degree or experience of working directly with the legal profession to enact policy is preferred.
