Meta is looking for a Privacy and Data Policy leader who is experienced in building innovative products with privacy at their core. This role will focus on building convergence between the expectations of governments and experts and Meta's approach to building privacy for sensitive data into our products. This includes collaborating with our Product Compliance and Privacy organization on privacy product development, developing and scaling policies on implementing privacy and data protections into our infrastructure and across our products and services, and building consultative relationships with outside experts across this portfolio of work. Specific portfolio includes: driving appropriate definitions of sensitive data, educating the world on the importance of inference/interaction data in building inclusive products, and offering control and user education as alternativesThis role is highly collaborative and involves working closely with product managers, engineers, public policy and communications specialists, and external stakeholders. You will serve as a subject matter expert on privacy and data protection for Meta's global policy team, working with partner teams to evaluate and respond to policy developments, and engage with external experts on these issues.

Privacy and Data Policy Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in cross-functional working groups of product managers, engineers, public policy and communications specialists, and others to help the company simultaneously address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, marketing and other privacy requirements
- Engage with external stakeholders to drive conversations around key privacy issues
- Present on behalf of Meta regarding privacy issues, including in external meetings and conferences
- Build consensus around innovative solutions to privacy in new technologies and contexts Serve as a strategic advisor to executives
- 8+ years of experience working in a privacy or public policy, or 5 years of experience with JD
- Working knowledge of privacy policy and legislative frameworks and debates
- Experienced collaborator, practiced at influencing others internally & externally, bringing large, varied groups along, presenting to complex stakeholder groups, to execute complex cross-functional team projects
- Experience driving highly ambiguous, broad and highly complex topics to extreme clarity of strategy and execution, at pace, in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of Meta products, features, and policies
