The Mixed Reality Developer Enablement Operations (DEO) team works closely with Legal, Product, Engineering, Compliance and Policy teams to identify patterns and behaviors and build solutions for the ever-changing field of privacy. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to support the privacy team, and those interested and passionate about integrity, privacy, process and operations, best-in-class experiences, the metaverse, and the developers creating content for it.The Policy Operations Manager, Privacy role interfaces with a broad range of internal teams and works closely with the data policy team, legal, engineering, operations, Technical Program Managers and product to take our privacy programs to the next level and ensure a compliant ecosystem through innovative practices and robust operations. They are knowledgeable about our data policies and compliance requirements, as well as the regulatory environment writ large. They leverage a demonstrated experience of understanding of developer ecosystems, vendor management, compliance and operations processes. They use their visibility into the ecosystem to identify refinement opportunities for technical, integrity, ethics, safety, and privacy standards for 3rd party applications on the Meta Horizon platform. The ideal candidate is strategic, curious, empathetic, principled, and attuned to changing privacy requirements.

Policy Operations Manager, Privacy Responsibilities:
  • Work with operational leads to enhance and improve enforcement and remediation operations, as well as identifying solutions to improve compliance rates by collaborating with cross-functional teams such Policy, Privacy, Legal, Developer Relations Engineering, Technical Program Managers and Communications teams to identify gaps in process, tooling, and developer experience and lead the way in identifying solutions and implementing them.
  • Support the overall operational health of privacy programs including day-to-day operations and escalations.
  • Develop documentation and resources to provide guidance to internal teams and developers to resolve issues.
  • Work with a team of vendors responsible for providing support to developers, and set clear expectations, provide guidance, and ensure the team is equipped to deliver high-quality support services.
  • Monitor platform activity and developer behavior to identify potential risks and emerging issues.
  • Work with operational leads to ensure robust quality assurance, quarterly audits, accurate metrics and executive level reporting.
  • Analyze data and trends to proactively address challenges and generate reports and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Serve as the escalation point of contact for major issues impacting developers or their experience. Establish and maintain effective response protocols to ensure timely and efficient resolution of issues. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to investigate incidents, assess impact, and implement corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in privacy operations
  • Experience communicating with developers, stakeholders, and internal leadership
  • Experience documenting complex issues and build consensus on a course of action
  • Experience helping app developers overcome challenges to help them succeed
  • Experience interpreting data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience applying independent judgment when solving problems and offers potential solutions
  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience with regulatory or privacy programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with implementing and/or managing privacy operations, programs or assessments
  • Familiarity with the VR/MR/AR or gaming industry
  • Experience working with remote/hybrid teams
  • Experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels

$101,000/year to $152,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
