Meta is hiring for an experienced Physical Retail Project Manager to support the development of Reality Labs Australia displays inside the 3rd party retail channel for our product portfolio. This role reports directly to the Regional Lead for Physical Merchandising and will drive the planning and orchestration of Australia display programs across third party retail for specific accounts. The role may also support a variety of other projects that come up to progress the ongoing success of the team's programs as well as drive overarching process development for physical merchandising activities.The project manager is responsible for maintaining the budgeting, planning and production of fixtures and graphics. This involves extensive coordination and negotiation between fixture/graphic companies, internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendor partners, to ensure accurate and on time updates are delivered to stores or to third parties. The role will interface with internal and external resources, third party technical support partners, content creators and channel marketing teams across Reality Labs.

Physical Merchandising Project Manager - Australia - 3rd Party Retail Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the Regional Visual Merchandising Lead to initiate, progress and deliver project activities
  • Act as a key point of contact driving activity between global fixture vendor partners, graphic companies, Channel Marketing Managers and Marketing
  • Track and manage the financial aspect of projects. Use internal payment systems and tools to track progress payment activities. Work closely with team members to ensure all activities are on budget
  • Prepare internal communications to convey and drive understanding of project plans and activity status
  • Understand various retailer requirements such as specific review processes that need to be followed to land displays inside their stores
  • Work to identify areas to value engineer, negotiate with vendors on deliverables such as production, kitting & shipping costs
  • Maintain project trackers to ensure all updates execute on time
  • Understand fixture production processes in order to properly prepare workback schedules and deliverables with the broader organization
  • Work on internal process development, collaborate with team members to drive efficiencies for physical merchandising initiatives, especially across regional counterparts
  • Organize vendor partner conference calls weekly to track and update progress ensuring all deadline dates are on track
  • Review engineering, prototypes, digital and printed proofs for all programs with a keen eye for detail
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing (design, engineering, fixtures and shipping costs)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of retail project management experience
  • Understanding of the fixture design, development and implementation process
  • Understanding of the Australia 3rd party retail channel, first hand experience working with key consumer electronics retail partners
  • Experience maintaining high value budgets
  • Conflict management experience. Experience addressing issues between stakeholders swiftly in order to maintain and drive impact in a way that is consistent with Meta values
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills and the equivalent Google docs
  • Proficient in the creation and maintenance of project trackers across multiple programs and stakeholders
  • Experience with navigating various organizational environments where structure and responsibilities vary
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative retail research projects and working with insights team to drive learnings and influence change
  • First hand experience of the 2D artwork production process, from layout through to print production
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the consumer electronics industry, especially within brick and mortar retailers
  • First-hand experience of the 2D artwork production process, from design layout through to print production
  • Experience managing AV (Audiovisual) retail display technology
  • Experience within a brand executing a direct-to-consumer physical retail strategy
