We are seeking a metrology engineer with experience in crafting and developing optical solutions for display/camera modules and components for AR applications. You will work on instrumentation design, development, validation, and in-house production deployment during New Technology Introduction (NTI) and/or New Product Introduction (NTI) stage with support from cross-functional teams.
Optical Metrology Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop testing and metrology capabilities for a broad range of optical parameters for imaging and non-imaging systems.
- Architecture design of optical test equipment for novel optical component, breakdown of architecture design into optical system and test equipment design.
- Design, build and qualify test equipment for optical performance measurement of novel components, modules and sub-assemblies.
- Work with vendors for development and qualification of tools and custom test systems, including statistical analysis controls and methods.
- Work with optical designers to create test plans for component and system validation.
- Debug and trouble-shooting issues with fabricated components and assess viability in terms of product requirements.
- Cross functional collaboration with optical designer, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers and suppliers.
