Successful candidates will join our Network Investment team as subsea-focused Network Development Managers on a 12 month short-term contract (STE). As a subsea Network Development Manager (NDM), you will support our growing capacity and footprint needs, supporting work on projects spanning capacity and dark fiber leases, acquisitions, and subsea projects deployment and operations The successful candidates will be mentored by experienced NDMs within a structured development programme and have the opportunity to help develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and success.This 12-month short term contract (STE) offers a unique chance to launch or grow your career in subsea network infrastructure with one of the leading players in the industry.

Network Development Manager (SETI) Responsibilities:
- Implement supply strategies spanning third party infrastructure and contributing to Meta builds
- Help manage a portfolio of fiber infrastructure suppliers across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin/South America regions
- Identify suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, and support in the execution of supply contracts.
- Help Oversee contract performance, track and ensure supplier compliance, validate supplier budgeting, and renegotiate contract terms as needed.
- Help manage cross-functional infrastructure projects in a matrix organization, covering a range of areas
- Develop an understanding and capacity to program manage end-to-end project plans from concept stage through capacity turn-up, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Gain a broad understanding of the various engineering aspects of an infrastructure project
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of project operations, administration, and maintenance
- Provide hands-on program management support during project life-cycle phases, including capacity turn-up and network operations.
- Manage program risk and changes, providing regular visibility to cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
- Manage and develop partner relationships across a diverse range of countries
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of telecom wholesale market technological and commercial developments
- Generate clear and objective investment analysis and recommendations for investment approval
- Interface with Planning, Engineering, and Business/Project stakeholders for overall project requirements and scope.
- Work well within a diverse cross-border team
- BA/BSc/BEng or equivalent in technical/engineering or business related fields and 5 years industry experience
- Moderate understanding and experience in telecoms and/or other large infrastructure program deployment and management
- Capacity to travel up to 25% of the time abroad
- Experience in analyzing and presenting quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis of investment alternatives and recommendations
- Experience in project management and reporting skills with the capacity to coordinate multiple, cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience in programmatic and project governance skills
- High aptitude for fast-paced learning and demonstrated experience in collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strategic and structured ideation and project execution
- Technical knowledge of networking particularly in transport technologies and subsea
- Proven experience in communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building, conflict management and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team and with external partners spreading across the globe
- Multilingual in 1 or more regional business languages, particularly Spanish and Portuguese
