We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manager to lead our Sourcing Team responsible for procuring Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) for our data centers. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality electrical and mechanical equipment. The Manager, Sourcing and Categories, Data Center will be responsible for the company's global strategic relationships and business strategies to support our Global Data Center build and operations footprint. The candidate will develop and implement sourcing teams and practices across data center power and cooling equipment, cabling and fiber technology, and connectivity hardware spanning all of Facebook infrastructure.

Manager, Sourcing and Categories Data Center Responsibilities:
  • Building, developing, and leading a team of Category Sourcing Managers to support the company's stakeholders worldwide. Manage strategic sourcing, and supplier management programs for data center cooling equipment and connectivity products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to include Manufacturing Quality, Strategic Engineering and Design, Global Site Sourcing, Datacenter Facility Operations, Datacenter Construction, Connectivity and Partnership teams.
  • Work with our internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to drive sourcing processes by implementing best practices and the development of strategies to scale. Collaborate with partners' executive teams to shape investment and evolution to support Meta's program.
  • Ensure business metrics are met through the end-to-end process, from manufacturing through to delivery and operation at the datacenter. Ensure field quality data is used to provide continuous improvement for current and future products.
  • Manage operations and improve the business by defining and driving core business metrics and risk indicators. Provide metrics to quarterly business reviews to measure supply chain health and forward-looking risk.
  • Own and execute manufacturing Category Strategies, Business Reviews, New Product and Technology program implementation.
  • Work with the PLM team to structure bill of materials, manage product change notifications, and manage the hardware through the entire product lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Capacity to travel up to 20% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering well-thought-out products to customers in the hyper-growth stage, and will be familiar with challenges inherent to this type of transformation.
  • The Manager of Data Center Sourcing Categories will have direct experience building highly effective and collaborative commercial sourcing infrastructure teams.
  • Experience in managing sourcing and business strategies in datacenter infrastructure or similar mission critical infrastructure deployments.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude in electrical and mechanical/cooling equipment (e.g. Distribution transformers, UPS, Switchgear, HVAC, evaporative cooling, liquid cooling), or fiber optic technologies.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience growing and developing a team, leading quality performance improvement, creating a vision, and following through with strategy and execution in the infrastructure technology space.
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or another relevant technical field, or equivalent combination of experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar or related roles.
  • Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proven Experience in negotiation, communication, and collaboration.
  • Experience to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience preferably in the data center industry.

$144,000/year to $201,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
