Facebook is seeking a Manager, Infrastructure Engineering to join our RTP (Release to Production) team. This team is responsible for the Hardware Lifecycle of all Facebook servers including prototyping of experimental HW, pre-production and service level validation, integration into FB Infrastructure/DC, hands-on system/component debugging, enabling production-ready tools, automated provisioning and remediation of issues. RTP Engineers work closely with hardware designers, system manufacturers, component vendors, capacity engineering, production engineering, Facebook services, and data center operation teams to prototype/test/integrate systems before releasing into production data centers, and to track the health/lifecycle of servers in production. This position is full-time.

Manager, Infrastructure Engineering RTP Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of engineers committed to manage and scale one the largest Infrastructures in the world.
  • Be both technically hands-on and people manager.
  • Work with Hardware Design, Application teams, Service teams and Data Center teams to find the optimal way to scale Infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.
  • Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
  • Interface with external vendors and internal hardware, mechanical, power, thermal, manufacturing and software engineers to understand system architecture required for hardware deployment.
  • Develop strategies to detect and diagnose hardware/firmware/software health issues across Facebook infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in changing system configurations and measuring change impact.
  • Analytical, budgeting and planning experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Server hardware experience and knowledge
  • Experience working XFN across orgs

$191,000/year to $262,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
